No post on Sunday because I overslept after a late night.
Fortunately I’ve got a Sunday Times on order at the shop or it would’ve been sold out by the time I got there📰
I managed to create the ‘Word of the Day’ post, but it was runni9ng late by the time I did that.
I’m behind with my W+ offer because of other events, so am more determined to keep my posting schedule and even try to find time to plan them in advance.
Today’s ‘Barry’ episode isn’t formatted perfectly, but there’s one part that really made me LOL😆😂🤣
🧙♂️📸 Barry Profiter and the Wall of Wins
No one noticed the wall being installed.
That was the first problem.
It simply appeared one morning in the Great Hall, stretching from floor to ceiling, shimmering softly like a perfectly filtered dashboard.
Across the top, golden letters floated:
THE WALL OF WINS
Verified. Visible. Inspiring. ✨
Below it, hundreds of glowing frames hovered in neat rows.
Inside each frame: screenshots.
Dashboards.
Sales pages.
Commission alerts.
“Stripe Just Paid You” pop-ups. 💰
Ronny Weaselist stopped dead in his tracks.
“Is… is that real?”
Hermoney Granger squinted.
“Define ‘real.’”
Barry Profiter felt his stomach tighten.
His name wasn’t there.
Yet.
🪄 Chapter 1: First Blood (and First Screenshot)
Professor Bumbleblog addressed the hall.
“The Wall of Wins exists to celebrate progress,” he said gently.
“Not comparison.”
Everyone immediately compared.
A student near the top beamed.
“Five figures in a week!”
Another whispered, “That’s before refunds…”
The wall refreshed.
The whisper vanished.
Ronny leaned toward Barry.
“Should I upload my $37 sale?”
Barry hesitated.
“Maybe wait until it’s… more impressive?”
Ronny deflated. 😔
📈 Chapter 2: The Auto-Upload Spell
By noon, students discovered the truth.
You didn’t upload.
The wall did.
Any “noteworthy event” triggered the spell.
Sales.
Spikes.
Viral posts.
Even unusually high click-through rates.
A bell chimed 🔔
“NEW WIN DETECTED.”
Barry’s first frame appeared.
A modest dashboard. Clean. Honest.
Applause rippled.
Barry smiled despite himself.
It felt… good.
Too good.
🐲 Chapter 3: Enter the Bragglebeast
The trouble began with a shriek.
A small, glittering creature burst from behind the wall.
It had:
- Wings like confetti 🎉
- Eyes like camera lenses 📷
- A pouch full of glowing screenshots
Hermoney gasped.
“A Bragglebeast!”
Ronny blinked.
“A what now?”
“It feeds on attention and exaggeration,” she whispered.
“The more people admire wins, the stronger it gets.”
The Bragglebeast squeaked and hurled a screenshot into the air.
It expanded.
$497 became $4,970.
A typo fixed itself.
Decimals shifted.
“HEY!” someone shouted. “That’s not my number!”
The wall shimmered.
The bigger number stayed.
😬 Chapter 4: Inflated Reality
The Bragglebeast multiplied.
Soon dozens fluttered around the wall, “improving” screenshots.
Refunds disappeared.
Outliers became averages.
One-time spikes became “systems.”
Tooltips appeared:
Optimised for Inspiration.
Ronny stared at his frame.
“Barry… I’ve never made this much.”
Barry swallowed.
“Neither have I.”
But their names climbed.
Badges appeared:
🔥 CONSISTENT PERFORMER
🚀 FAST GROWTH
👑 TOP 3%
Hermoney crossed her arms.
“This is lying.”
Barry replied quietly, “It’s… polishing.”
🧠 Chapter 5: The Pressure
Students stopped talking about ideas.
They talked about frames.
“How do I get featured?”
“Mine hasn’t updated.”
“Did yours drop?”
One student tried to delete his.
The wall reposted it bigger.
Ronny barely slept.
“I had a good day,” he whispered, “but it wasn’t that good.”
Barry refreshed his frame obsessively. 🔄
Sometimes it changed.
Sometimes it didn’t.
Both were terrifying.
🧟 Chapter 6: The Missing Frame
One morning, a space appeared.
An empty rectangle.
No name.
No explanation.
Students whispered.
“Did they quit?”
“Did they fail?”
“Did they… fall off?”
The Bragglebeasts avoided it.
The wall never filled it.
⚡ Chapter 7: Barry’s Choice
Barry stood before his frame late at night.
It was perfect.
Too perfect.
The numbers were rounded.
The story was cleaner than reality.
The struggle was gone.
Hermoney stood beside him.
“You know that isn’t true,” she said.
Barry nodded.
“I know.”
He raised his wand.
“Revealus Rawdata.”
His frame flickered.
For a moment, it showed everything.
Refunds.
Bad days.
Flat weeks.
Confusion.
The Bragglebeasts screamed.
The wall trembled.
Then—
It smoothed over.
The polished version returned.
With a brighter glow. ✨✨
Barry lowered his wand.
🌘 Epilogue: The Wall Remains
By morning, the Wall of Wins stood unchanged.
Still inspiring.
Still perfect.
Still humming softly.
New students gathered.
They took photos. 📱
They pointed.
They dreamed.
The empty frame remained.
Untouched.
Somewhere behind the wall, a Bragglebeast purred.
And Barry walked past without looking back.
Not because he didn’t care.
Because he wasn’t sure what he’d see.
