GeminiAI has just proven me right in my decision to ditch it.

It had proved useful on quite a few occassions, but has been a frustrating waste of time this week when I’ve tried to create blog posts to help me market some affiliate products.

It churned out un-engaging posts that were all bullet points with little informative or usuable material, or providing new or methods teaching the readers anything new about the subject; and they were too short to have any chance of being picked up by the saerch engines.

Trying To Switch AI🤖 Horses Mid-Stream🐴🐎

I kept coming up against ChatGPT’s limits on the free plan🚧 – especially when it started creating images instead of just giving me the text prompts I’d asked for, so based on previous good results from Gemini I switched to that for creating my affiliate marketing blog posts.

My original plan was to generate posts and articles with Chat then edit with Gemini, especially as I’d had some success doing this, and the different AIs viewed the content as new and brought frsh perspectives to editing articles created by the other one.’✍🏼

In a brainstorm🧠 moment I decided to start creating all my affiliate marketing content and posts for this and my other blog using Gemini, and it looked like a good move for a while that would allow me to generate more digital content💻📖 using the best of both systems📈

Then Gemini started having brainfarts, and churning out nonsense, and my plan finally ‘Crashed and burned’💥🔥

That forced me to go looking for alternatives as I’d reached Chat’s limits due to it creating images for the posts.

This made sense as it had written the content so knew exactly what’s in it and the context.

I spent a lot of time yesterday trying new blog post writing AIs, with varying degrees of success.

I did find one that creates the featured image for the blog post as it’s generating the content; all for free – how great is that🤩?

Yeah, you guessed it; I used that programme to generate the image above by giving it a prompt to create a blog post.

The images it creates can be decent, but the trouble is the posts are pretty much like the ones Gemini wass writing😬

Speaking of which – and going right back to the beginning – when I asked Geminin to give me a prompt I could use to generate the featured image for this post it tried generating the image rather than giving me the text…

…then told me it can’t really generate images of people😡🤬

Some Success Generating AI Images🤖🎨

I’m going to use Canva to create some promotional PDFs for marketing affiliate products as it looks like it will handle the Chat AI generated content and emojis better than MS Word does.

Canva also has an AI image generating tool which made some good images for the PDF after a little experimentation.

Only the AI gods know why the guy in the first image has two heads🤣

I also used the same prompt in Bing AI, which I use a lot to create images for affiliate marketing content and material, and promotional blog posts.

I’m going to give quick overviews of the tools I tried because it’s getting late now and I’ve still got other work to do.
